Meals, dietary needs, packing, and the logistics that help you relax
This page exists so you don’t have to wonder about the practical stuff.
When the basics are clear, your nervous system can settle more easily.
🍽️ Meals & Nourishment
All meals during Sanctuary are included in your retreat energy exchange.
Food will be simple, comforting, and designed to support rest rather than spike energy or digestion. This is not a restrictive retreat and not a gourmet one. Think nourishing, familiar, and low effort.
What to expect
There will always be vegetarian-friendly options available.
☕ Snacks & Drinks
Snacks and drinks are included and available throughout the weekend.
You can expect things like:
You’re also welcome to bring your own favorite snacks or drinks if there’s something you love having on hand.
We do ask that:
Think cozy, considerate, and shared-space friendly.
🌱 Dietary Needs & Allergies
You’ll be asked about dietary needs during registration.
We can comfortably accommodate:
At this time, we are already accommodating the following allergies within the group:
Because meals are shared, we ask everyone to be mindful of these ingredients and avoid bringing foods containing them into common meal spaces.
If you have very specific medical or nutritional needs beyond this, you’re welcome to bring supplemental food for yourself.
If you’re unsure whether your needs will be met, just reach out before registering and we can talk it through.
🧳 What to Pack
Think comfortable, cozy, and low-effort.

Strongly recommended:
Bringing familiar bedding can make a big difference in how well you rest, especially in shared sleep spaces.
Optional but lovely:

🛏️ Sleep & Comfort Notes
Lodging is shared and intentionally communal unless you choose a room upgrade.
The Slumber Circle (shared living-room sleep space) includes twin air mattresses and cozy nesting. This option is part of the Sanctuary experience and is warmly encouraged.
If getting up and down from an air mattress would be uncomfortable for you, or if you need more privacy to fully rest, a room upgrade may be a better fit.
Room upgrades are optional, limited, and listed separately on the Room Upgrades page.
🚗 Parking & Arrival
Parking at the house is limited.
Most guests are local, and we encourage:
You’ll be asked during registration whether you can drive or ride with someone else so parking can be coordinated smoothly.
Final parking details and directions will be emailed closer to the retreat.
⏰ Arrival & Departure
Arrival
Guests arrive Thursday evening between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. This is a relaxed arrival window. There is no need to rush or arrive early.
Departure
We’ll close the retreat gently on Sunday morning. Guests should plan to depart before 9:30 AM, as checkout is at 10:00 AM.
Guests who are able and willing to stay briefly to help with light cleanup are welcome and appreciated, but this is completely optional.
A Final Practical Note
This is an adult retreat held with care.
The intention is to create a space that feels respectful, calm, and supportive for everyone. Clear communication and shared mindfulness are part of that care.
If you have questions about whether Sanctuary is a good fit for you, you’re always welcome to reach out before registering.
